The Delhi High Court allowed two-day custody parole to jailed J&K MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh alias Rashid Engineer to attend the ongoing Parliament session. Justice Vikas Mahajan said Mr. Rashid could attend the Parliament session on February 11 and 13. Custody parole entails a prisoner being escorted by armed police personnel to the place of visit. Mr. Rashid was saddled with certain riders as bail conditions, including not using a cellphone or addressing media.

No case has been registered so far.
Indian restaurants among targets of UK ‘blitz’ against illegal migrants

Sri Lanka is scheduled to undergo a 90-minute power cut on Monday and Tuesday (February 10-11, 2025) following a breakdown in a coal power plant. Ceylon Electricity Board, the state power entity, decided on Monday given the shortage of supply owing to the failure at the 900-megawatt Norochcholai coal power plant in the northwestern region. The Ceylon Electricity Board in a statement said the 90-minute rationing will be in two slots between 3 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. in different areas on both days.
