The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings released today revealed that the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM A) is the top business school in the country — a continued victory. IIM Ahmedabad is followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode at the second and third spots — similar to last year. This time, however, IIT Delhi has improved its ranking from fifth to fourth rank, while IIM Calcutta has slipped to the fifth position.
IIM Mumbai, earlier known as National Institute of Industrial Engineering, has risen from seventh spot to sixth this year, and is followed by IIM Lucknow, which was at the sixth rank last year.
IIM Indore, XLRI – Xavier School of Management and IIT Bombay have retained their eighth, ninth and tenth spots respectively, this year.
Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, released the national rankings . This year, three new categories have been introduced — open universities, skill universities and state funded government universities. Additionally, it has also been announced that the Ministry aims to begin ‘sustainability rankings’ from next year.
